For a 3rd Season, The Arts Put on a Show at the Garden - Part of the 2016 Program of Activities at Montréal Space for Life
MONTRÉAL, May 10, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Every Sunday afternoon from June 12 to August 28, 2016, Montréal Space for Life is inviting the general public to celebrate a delightful mix of nature and music, with the third season of its popular The Arts Put on a Show at the Garden event. As part of the 2016 See the Big Picture program of activities, twelve intimate concerts will be presented in the very heart of the Montréal Botanical Garden, a peaceful and verdant setting for music lovers. Before the show, listeners will want to enjoy this unique opportunity to admire the peonies, irises, lilies and daylilies in glorious bloom in the Flowery Brook Garden or to stroll through the many impressively authentic cultural gardens. Then they can take a comfortable seat in front of the stage nestled under the crabapple trees.
The 2016 line-up, put together by artistic director Jean-François Gagnon and producer Sylvie Lavoie, throws the spotlight on local songwriters, composers and performers. The various artists have all been asked to give an acoustic show focusing on "natural" music without complex arrangements, so we can look forward to discovering their repertoire in a simple, unadorned style. It's a chance for audience members to appreciate the very essence of the melodies, lyrics and songs.
These 12 talented artists will be joyfully combining the arts and nature, for our listening pleasure.
