On 10th May 2016, The Songwriting Academy and Caffe Nero are launching a
groundbreaking songwriting competition to find the best unsigned songwriter in the UK and
raise GBP50,000 for charity.



What's Different About This Competition? 



This is the first time a live, event based songwriting competition has been launched
in the UK where the song is the star, not the singer. Songwriters may use session singers
and musicians, and can win without singing a note!



The songwriter with the strongest songs will be the winner.  



First prize includes a 12 month development program with The Songwriting Academy,
Caffe Nero and Yamaha Instruments to help the winner hit the big time, giving them the
opportunity to write with some of the world's most successful songwriters and have their
songs played across the UK.



How It Works 



Songwriters enter their songs online at http://www.ukunsignedsongwriter.co.uk from
10th May to 1st September, 2016. The top songwriters will be selected to showcase their
songs at live regional heats across the UK in Caffe Nero stores from 26th September,
culminating in a star-studded Gala Final in London on 30th October.



Hitmakers And Celebrities Come Together For Charity 



Celebrities and multi-million selling songwriters are all coming together to help the
competition raise money for the Stand Up To Cancer campaign and Nordoff Robbins Music
Therapy, who will share all profits.
