First School-wide Consenses Exhibition at Charles River School

Consenses Founder Sally Taylor to Speak About Project

DOVER, Mass., May 23, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The first school-wide Consenses exhibition will take place May 26 at Charles River School (CRS). CRS is the first school to participate school-wide in a project that, previously, has included only professional artists. The event is free of charge and open to adults and children in the community.

Consenses founder Sally Taylor will speak about Consenses - an artistic game of "Telephone." Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the exhibit, which incorporates 373 original pieces of work, created by 172 students, using music, movement, technology, writing and visual art.

Re-opening in June on Martha's Vineyard, the original Consenses installation includes work from 150 artists from around the world including James Taylor, Carly Simon, Jimmy Buffet and Wes Craven.

Who: Artist, musician and Consenses founder Sally Taylor has partnered with Charles River School, an independent PreK - 8 school in Dover, Mass.

Why: Inspired by the fable of the blind men and the elephant, Consenses is based on the belief that more can be revealed by working together than arguing the rightness of our individual perspectives. CRS is one of three schools in the Boston area (CRS, Walnut Hill and BU) piloting the full-school curriculum.

When: Thursday, May 26, 6:30 - 8:00 PM

Where: Charles River School, 6 Old Meadow Rd., Dover, Mass.
