Palm Beach County Has Cultural Experiences In Store For Tourists
Cultural organizations in arts-rich Palm Beach County will offer a record range of experiences for visitors this year
LAKE WORTH, Fla., Oct. 29, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Palm Beach County, known both for its beautiful beaches and as the "Cultural Capital of Florida," will offer a record number of arts and cultural experiences to travelers this winter. Tourists who visit the Palm Beaches will be treated to the U.S. premiere of a major photography exhibition, a playwright's directorial debut, and thousands of cultural experiences and exhibitions from the traditional to the edgy.

Highlights of the 2015-2016 Palm Beach County season include the U.S. premiere of "This Place: Israel Through Photography's Lens" at the Norton Museum of Art before it heads to the Brooklyn Museum; "Satchmo at the Waldorf" at Palm Beach Dramaworks, directed for the first time by playwright and critic Terry Teachout; the Kravis Center's P.E.A.K. Series featuring MOMIX, RIOULT, Emeline Michel, Lula Washington Dance Theatre, Blaze, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Cameron Carpenter; and the Palm Beach Symphony's "Homage to Pablo Casals" conducted by Ramón Tebar.
With more than 42,000 arts and culture offerings per year, Palm Beach County tourists look forward to many ongoing cultural traditions. These include Palm Beach Opera @ The Waterfront; the popular lecture series Culture & Cocktails at the historic Palm Beach Colony Hotel; the Palm Beach Film Festival; SunFest, Florida's largest waterfront music and art festival; and the Lake Worth Street Painting Festival, where 400 artists use the street as a canvas to transform the downtown into an outdoor museum of original art and masterpiece reproductions.
