New Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF PSAs Feature Charlie Brown and The Peanuts Movie Cast Urging Kids to Make a Difference This Halloween

That's Charlie Brown's question to American kids in a new public service announcement (PSA), as he encourages them to take part in the 65(th) anniversary of Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF- the original Kids Helping Kids campaign. Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the gang - stars of 20th Century Fox's The Peanuts Movie - in theaters November 6 - are featured in new print, online and broadcast public service announcements to inspire kids to go door-to-door with special edition Peanuts-themed orange boxes to collect funds in support of UNICEF's lifesaving work around the world.

As one of the longest running youth volunteer initiatives in America, Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF has raised more than $175 million to provide children around the world with medicine, nutrition, clean water, education and emergency relief.

This fall, teachers of grade K-12 students can also participate in the Halloween campaign through the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF School Challenge, a short essay contest focused on encouraging global citizenship in the classroom and community. The top 15 essay competition entrants will receive $500 of Scholastic books. Entries must be submitted at www.trickortreatforunicef.org by December 1, 2015 to be considered; teachers can also use the website to access lesson plans and other resources.

HSNi Cares raised funds throughout August and September to support UNICEF through all eight HSNi brands, including: Ballard Designs, Chasing Fireflies, Frontgate, Garnet Hill, Grandin Road, HSN, Improvements and TravelSmith. Through October 31, available on Chasing-Fireflies.com, customers can purchase one-of-a-kind "I Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF" tote bags. For every bag purchased, Chasing Fireflies will donate 30 percent of the purchase price to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF.
For the first time, Claire's will support Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF through retail stores nationwide and on Claires.com. Through October 31, customers can pick up a Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF box in Claire's stores nationwide, which they can use to decorate and collect funds to support UNICEF. The brand will also host an Instagram sweepstakes (#clairesUNICEFsweepstakes) and give prizes for the most creative boxes. In addition, Claire's will sell a Halloween tote, donating 50 percent of the purchase price to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF through October 31.
Key Club International continues its support of Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, raising funds for The Eliminate Project, which seeks to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. To date, the longstanding partnership with Key Club has raised more than $7 million for UNICEF. Key Club International, a student-led service leadership program of Kiwanis International, is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. For the seventh year, American Airlines will support Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF through UNICEF's Change for Good program on American Airlines. Change for Good provides an opportunity for American Airlines employee volunteers to raise funds by collecting travelers' donations of foreign and domestic currency, which UNICEF uses to provide lifesaving services for children around the world. From October 18-31, American's customers will have the opportunity to make donations in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF boxes on select international flights.
