HBO Boasts a Record Number of Emmy® Nominations in 2015

Critically Acclaimed Original Films and Limited Series Among the Network's Nominees are Available Now on DVD, Blu-ray(TM) and Digital HD

Among the most-watched shows now available to own--which come loaded with special features and revealing behind-the-scenes footage--"Game of Thrones" led all Emmy(®) nominees with an incredible 24 nominations, "Boardwalk Empire" received 10 nominations, "Veep" earned nine nominations, "Silicon Valley" garnered seven nominations, "The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst" received six nominations, "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" earned four nominations and "Girls" tallied two nominations.

To celebrate this record achievement and get media ready for Emmy(®) night, HBO Home Entertainment Canada is highlighting three "under-the-radar" nominees deserving of special recognition:


-- The HBO limited series "Olive Kitteridge" (available now on DVD, Blu-ray
and Digital HD) received 13 nominations, among them including
Outstanding Limited Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series
or a Movie (Richard Jenkins), Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited
Series or a Movie (Francis McDormand), Outstanding Supporting Actor in a
Limited Series or a Movie (Bill Murray), and Outstanding Supporting
Actress in a Limited Series or a Movie (Zoe Kazan).


-- The HBO original film "Bessie" (available Sept. 1 on DVD, Blu-ray and
Digital HD) garnered 12 nominations, which include Outstanding
Television Movie, Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or a
Movie (Queen Latifah), Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or a
Movie (Michael Kenneth Williams) and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a
Limited Series or a Movie (Mo'Nique).
-- And, finally, HBO's original film "Nightingale" (available Sept. 15 on
DVD, Blu-ray and Digital HD) received 2 nominations for Outstanding
Television Movie and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or a
Movie (David Oyelowo).
