September 2nd, 2015 Set For MY VOICE MATTERS Global Interactive Event

Live from the Googleplex in Mountain View, California My Voice Matters Elevates Female Empowerment and Gender Equality with Leading Global Organizations and Renowned Musical Artists and Film Stars

My Voice Matters Presents Gary Catona - The Master Voice Builder Behind Today's Most Beloved Singers - To Help Women Worldwide Raise Their Voices In Song and Spirit

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Aug. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Wednesday September 2nd is the date for My Voice Matters, an unprecedented interactive event created to raise women's voices in solidarity for female empowerment and gender equality. Streaming live from the Googleplex - Google's famed headquarters - MyVoice Matters unites several of the world's most prestigious women's rights organizations as UN Women and American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Southern California together with acclaimed musical artists and stars from film and television, all designed to inspire 100 million women worldwide to make their voices matter using #MakeMyVoiceMatter across all social media platforms.

To help women raise their voices and elevate the global conversation regarding female empowerment, the event has engaged the hosting services of Gary Catona, who has served as the acclaimed voice builder for the world's top entertainers for over three decades. Known as the "Maestro of Voice," Catona's unique voice building system has helped major singers and actors including Andrea Bocelli, Steven Tyler, Shirley MacLaine, Lorde, Katy Perry, Seal, Usher, Shakira, Pharrell Williams and Whitney Houston build their singing voice or overcome vocal disorders such as hoarseness, nasality, and vocal cord paralysis.

It was for the purpose of vocal rehabilitation that the world-renowned Whitney Houston came to Catona. Seven years prior to her death, Houston met with Gary and shared with him how her voice was 'gone.' She worked extensively with Gary to help restore her voice which was deteriorated by poor lifestyle choices. As she reentered the spotlight, she credited Gary for restoring a large percentage of her voice to its former glory.

Now for the first time, the My Voice Matters interactive global event will present Catona's voice-building method to help women and girls throughout the world raise their voices - and be heard.

My Voice Matters is a stirring two-part presentation. For Act One, the event takes place at the Google+ Hangout where viewers will have a front-row seat to the first-ever live performance of Gary Catona, Nick Milo and Aubrey Logan's 'My Voice Matters' in a 'teach the world to sing along' performed by award-winning entertainers Aubrey Logan and Aneeka and conducted by Gary Catona. Downloads of the song will help to raise funds for millions of disenfranchised women and children. But before the sing-along, Maestro Catona will give the biggest-ever 'World voice lesson' in history as he takes all those tuned into the Google+ Hangout through the same exercises that he has used with all of his famous students, from Whitney Houston to Andrea Bocelli to Steven Tyler and numerous other superstars.

For Act Two, the event continues one week later, where visitors can log on to the ''Talks at Google'' YouTube channel, connect with millions of viewers around the world and watch a panel discussion of the state of women's empowerment and gender equality featuring a senior Google executive as moderator joined by Women's Advocate-Paralympian-Actress Aimee Mullins; Melissa Goodman, ACLU SoCal Gender Equality & LBGTQ Director; Oisika Chakrabarti, representative of UN Women who launched the HeForShe campaign (made famous by Emma Watson), Arlette Nkurayija Rwandan genocide survivor, lawyer and president of the Women and Children Embassy Foundation.

The producers of My Voice Matters invite the public to get involved by sharing #MakeMyVoiceMatter & #MyVoiceMatters on their social media platforms and help elevate the global conversation around female empowerment and gender equality.
