Fatima Re-Make In The Works by Origin Entertainment and Braven Films

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Origin Entertainment and Braven Films are pleased to announce the formation of a new co-production alliance to re-make the Warner classic, THE MIRACLE OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA (1952).

"For more than a decade I've wanted to produce a movie about this amazing true event that happened in Portugal a century ago," Braven Films Founder and CEO Frida Torresblanco said. "Origin, in collaboration with writer Barbara Harrington, has produced a stunning script. The timing is perfect with the hundredth anniversary of these events to be celebrated during 2017."

Current plans are to complete principal photography in Navarra, Spain during April and May of 2016, and premiere the movie during May of 2017. "Frida Torresblanco is the perfect co-production partner," Origin Founder and Chairman James T. Volk said. "Her work on PAN'S LABYRINTH in many ways parallels many of the challenges we'll face in bringing the story of Fatima to life on the big screen."

Volk and Torresblanco will serve as producers along with Origin CEO Dick Lyles and Rose Ganguzza.
