Screenvision Elevates Katy Loria To Chief Revenue Officer
Loria's Tenure Highlighted by Growth and Innovation
NEW YORK, Aug. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Screenvision, a national cinema advertising leader, today announced the promotion of Screenvision Sales Executive, Katy Loria, to Chief Revenue Officer. The promotion, effective immediately, comes on the heels of Ms. Loria successfully directing Screenvision's 2015 Upfront event as well as leading the Screenvision sales team on an interim basis for the past year.
"We are incredibly proud of the work that Katy has accomplished during her tenure at Screenvision," said Stephen Royer, Screenvision Board Member and Partner of Shamrock Capital Advisors. "Over the last two and a half years, she has been an indispensable head of the Sales Department, and has done an outstanding job in keeping the team focused throughout the terminated merger process. It is through those efforts that Screenvision is better positioned to offer our advertisers and agency partners an innovative and superior advertising medium. Katy and the sales team have driven tremendous results in 2015, also seen in their 2015-2016 upfront dollars sold."
In 2015, Ms. Loria was instrumental in the development of numerous programs including Project Lynx - Screenvision's first strategic big data and insights initiative aligning with SITO Mobile to enhance audience targeting. Additionally, Ms. Loria helped shape Screenvision's new content strategy, referred to as Front & Center ON, an innovative platform for brands to showcase content within the preshow. Most notably, Ms. Loria has led revenue growth within the insurance, technology, media and auto categories through new branded content programming formats. As a result, Screenvision's upfront selling dollars are already pacing significantly ahead of last year's upfront selling results.
"There is no other advertising medium out there that can couple sight, sound and motion in front of a captive DVR-proof audience that can be targeted and accounted for," expressed Ms. Loria. "I am honored to be leading this talented, energetic and creative sales team who will always go the extra-mile for their clients."
Ms. Loria currently serves as the President and Chairman of the Cinema Advertising Council, where she is responsible for guiding the industry's trade association. She also serves as a Director of SAWA, the Global Cinema Advertising Association. Prior to today's promotion, Ms. Loria held the positions of Executive Vice President, National Advertising Sales, and Senior Vice President, National Advertising Sales at Screenvision.
Ms. Loria joined Screenvision in February 2013 with over 20 years of experience in media sales, more than 18 of that spent at Viacom Networks. Most recently she served as Senior Vice President of Digital Sales and Marketing for Nickelodeon where she headed the digital advertising sales efforts for Nick's suite of sites, including Nick.com and NickJr.com. Ms. Loria earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in both English and Mass Communication from Indiana University Bloomington, as well as her Master's Degree in Mass Communication, Advertising from The University of Georgia. She is based in New York.
