"Robin's incredible track record in the animation industry speaks for itself and I am absolutely thrilled to have her leading our theatrical publicity," said DreamWorks Animation's Head of Theatrical Marketing Jim Gallagher. "We have an amazing slate of films on the horizon and I can't wait to work with Robin and our partners at Fox to share it with fans around the world."
Previous to DreamWorks, Chandler spent six years at Pixar, most recently as the studio's Head of Worldwide Publicity. In this capacity, she oversaw all aspects of publicity across the studio's worldwide business units including feature film, in-home, television, theme parks, live and interactive entertainment, and consumer products. Prior to Pixar, Chandler served as Head of North American Product Publicity for Electronic Arts, where she oversaw all aspects of publicity for the entire EA portfolio of computer and console games and franchises, including SimCity and the cultural phenomenon, The Sims. Previous to this, Chandler worked as a publicist for both the American Broadcasting Company as well as New Line Cinema, where she led high-profile publicity efforts for major networks hits and theatrical releases.
Chandler's appointment comes in advance of the release of "Kung Fu Panda 3," arriving in theaters on January 29. The highly anticipated third installment of the hit DreamWorks Animation franchise marks the studio's first co-production with Oriental DreamWorks.
