MWWPR's Social Practice Dominates Award Season With Multiple Agency Of The Year Wins, Campaign Of The Year And Other Major Industry Honors
With 8 Major Awards and Counting, Social Team's Efforts to Save the Daytime Emmy Awards Sweeps the Award Circuit
NEW YORK, June 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- MWW Public Relations (www.mww.com) today announced that its social team has been honored with an unprecedented eight awards to date, including some of the top honors in the industry. The award-winning and celebrated campaigns include "Saving the Daytime Emmy Awards from Becoming a Daytime TV Rerun," "Transforming Waste Management's Facebook Narrative" and XYZprinting's "#DaVinciPlease 3D Printer Giveaway."
The multi award-winning campaign to help save the Daytime Emmys was developed when the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) did not have a television broadcast partner to air the 2014 Daytime Emmy Awards. MWWPR devised the concept to stream the awards online, and also launched a fan-driven social media award category, deployed an interactive microsite, hosted real-time social media conversations with host Kathy Griffin and produced live content during the red carpet and ceremony. The activations led to 1.5 billion impressions on Twitter and more than 300,000 viewers of the ceremony's livestream, also helping the program to secure a broadcast partner for the 2015 iteration of the awards show.
"Our social media team is absolutely the best in the business, and their accomplishments over the past year have given new meaning to our Matter More promise to clients," said Michael Kempner, MWWPR president and CEO. "Under the guidance of Chief Social Strategist Mitzi Emrich, our social team has clearly positioned themselves as industry leaders, and their innovative and brilliantly-executed campaigns speak for themselves. Mitzi and her team's strategic and fearless approach to communications has not only benefitted our clients, it has advanced our entire agency."
MWWPR's social team delivers digital and social media programs that engage stakeholders in unexpected ways, through an integrated approach to social activation that includes cross-channel strategies, real-time content marketing and data & measurement.
