LOS ANGELES, April 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Woven Digital, has learned that the pilot episode of Luminaries, an UPROXX original series has been selected as a nominee for the 19(th) Annual Webby Awards in the Online Video: Science & Education category. This is the company's first Webby Award nomination and Luminaires is the first in a slate of original content created and distributed by Woven Studios.

The second episode of Luminaries, which tells the journey of Kai Kloepfer of Boulder, Colorado, launched earlier today. Kai is the inventor of biometric electromechanical firearm safety, which uses fingerprint recognition to lock or unlock a gun. The episode is available on UPROXX.com and YouTube.
