NEW YORK, Feb. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- In partnership with Starbucks, Effective Immediately PR will launch "The Acoustic Buzz," a curated monthly music series highlighting emerging artists by showcasing their music in an intimate and unique setting. The first showcase of the series is scheduled for Thursday, February 19th at NYC's Astor Place Starbucks from 4-7 p.m., featuring performances from buzzing pop singer-songwriter Jillette Johnson and folktronic artist Howard. Showcase dates to follow include March 26th and April 16th.

Johnson was recently featured on CBS News, who praise, "When Jillette Johnson sings, you can't help but to stand up and listen." Rising Brooklyn-based artist Howard will be the final performer of the night. The folktronic musician was recently featured on NPR's All Songs Considered, who commend, "I've been having a moment for the past several weeks with this band, I keep coming back to it...This record is just so good." Other performers include Roses & Revolutions, Nick Deutsch and The Henry Millers.
