The Han Show and Wanda Movie Park, which are located at opposite ends of the Wuhan Central Cultural District, a major 50 billion yuan development project in downtown Wuhan, are two of the largest entertainment projects in the world and have a combined investment of 7 billion yuan. Directed by creative virtuoso Franco Dragone, The Han Show is a world leading stage show that celebrates the essence of the Chu-Han culture. The Han Show Theatre was designed by world-renowned architect Mark Fisher, who previously served as Art Director of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Olympic Games, the London Olympic Games and the Guangzhou Asian Olympic Games. The theatre's design was inspired by the "Red Lantern", an iconic element of Chinese traditional culture.
The Han Show combines aerial, aquatic and immersive stage performance to create an electrifying visual and sensory experience for audiences. Wanda has developed a number of leading technologies in the show such as massive movable LED screens (200 square meters in size and weighing 800 tons); 2000 seats that adopt a world-first lifting and pivoting technology allowing the entire audience configuration to change shape. The theatre's performance pool holds up to 4 times the water volume of a standard sized Olympic swimming pool, with the ability to shift from wet to dry in a matter of seconds. The theater also contains 11 complex wet lifts, special effects equipment and a complex rigging system, all controlled by computer.
Cesar Mario O. Mamon, Chairman of the Board of the International Associations of Amusement parks and Attractions said, "Compared to Las Vegas or other leading international performances, Han Show is the most amazing show I've ever seen. Whether in terms of stage art, performance expertise or overall experience, the Han Show is the world's best."
