TransMedia Group Retained To Produce Waves of Publicity For Launch of AQUA Television Network in Early 2015

TransMedia Group Retained To Produce Waves of Publicity For Launch of AQUA Television Network in Early 2015

BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- TransMedia Group (www.transmediagroup.com) said it was selected as the PR firm for an early 2015 launch of the innovative AQUA Television Network (www.aquatvn.com) in Miami, which will feature a flood of celebrities and movie stars aboard their luxurious yachts.

"This will be one of the most seaworthy and spectacular launches ever," said TransMedia's skipper Tom Madden, who knows a thing or two about networks since he held high positions at two of them, NBC and ABC, before launching his own award-winning international PR firm.

"TransMedia will open all its publicity spigots, showing off AQUA programming featuring water-related sports and leisure activities, including yachting, scuba diving, windsurfing, wake boarding, kite surfing, kayaking, boat racing and sailing," he said.

AQUA's founder and CEO Jeffrey Wernli said selecting TransMedia was not difficult. "How many PR firms have at their helm a former top network television executive?" Madden, TransMedia's founder and CEO, was Vice President and Assistant to the President at NBC, who was then TV wunderkind Fred Silverman. Prior to that, he was Director of PR at American Broadcasting Companies in New York City.

"I believe we have a great publicity captain and crew, as AQUA Television Network is dedicated to everything in, on and around the water. Our content appeals to all ages and income levels and is carried on TV stations worldwide via satellite from New York to China," said Wernli.

Madden said publicity will focus on how AQUA will take viewers aboard some of the world's greatest yachts and sailboats, then whisk them off to some of the world's most luxurious seaside resorts. AQUA programming will feature a wide variety of nautical events, such as the Volvo World Yacht Race for sailing enthusiasts and adventurous deep sea fishing contests.

According to Madden, TransMedia will show how Aqua Television Network is unique in showcasing the world's most impressive yachts available for sale or charter. With its interactive programming, viewers will be able to arrange their next vacation on yachts that vary from $5,000 to $500,000 per week, or make a purchase from their smartphone of whatever products they see advertised.

Publicity highlights will include crews preparing for the America's Cup, yachts sailing around the world and races featuring some of the world's fastest boats.
