Russ Jones Named Sr. Vice President of News Operations of IRN/USA Radio Network

Christian News Service and Christian Press Teams With Cross Platform Media Group, which recently acquired IRN/USA Radio Network

RALEIGH, N.C., Oct. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cross Platform Media Group, LLC announced today that Russ Jones has been named Sr. Vice President of News Operations for IRN/USA Radio Network and Director of News and Public Relations for Cross Platform Media.

Jones is co-founder of Christian News Service, a news release distribution and content creation firm and publisher of ChristianPress.com. Both entities are now under the CPM umbrella of companies.

In making the announcement, Sam Hassell, the president and CEO of Cross Platform Media Group said, "Russ has already proven himself incredibly valuable to me and to Cross Platform. We have scored again by landing another incredible talent."

Jones will oversee news operations of the newly acquired IRN/USA and direct the consolidation of Christian News Service and Christian Press with Cross Platform Media's existing news and distribution resources.

Russ Jones is co-founder of Christian News Service, a content creation and news distribution firm and publisher of Christian Press. He's also a media consultant to a number of cause oriented campaigns and organizations. He most recently coordinated social media efforts for the pro Newt Gingrich Winning Our Future super PAC. Russ has been a guest on such programs as the Mike Gallagher Show, the Dennis Prager Show, Bill Martinez Live and Sandy Rios in the Morning. He holds degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a master's degree from St. Paul School of Theology. He is married to Jackie and together they have four children.
