Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation Announced as Presenting Sponsor of the American Veterans Center's Wounded Warrior Experience Broadcast

A broadcast that profiles the road to recovery for wounded soldiers

WASHINGTON, Oct. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Veterans Center (AVC) is pleased to announce that the Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation (MOPHSF) will once again be the presenting sponsor of the AVC's Wounded Warrior Experience broadcast. This program features the inspiring stories of wounded warriors who have served on the front lines in Afghanistan and Iraq, along with individuals who have worked to ease their transition home.

The program will be filmed on November 6(th )at the Navy Memorial in Washington, DC and hosted by Jennifer Griffin, National Security Correspondent for Fox News Channel. The program will be filmed for a special broadcast on DoD News and will air on military bases around the world the week of Veterans Day.

MOPHSF will be represented during the broadcast by Staff Sargent Charles Eggleston, US Army. Staff Sgt. Eggleston was injured while on a tour of duty in Iraq, two explosives detonated next to his vehicle, leaving him with severe injuries down the left side of his body, nearly severing his spine.
