HBO and the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum Host Premiere Screening of the HBO Miniseries OLIVE KITTERIDGE

With special guest Pulitzer Prize-Winning Author Elizabeth Strout October 21

WHAT: HBO and the John F. Kennedy
Presidential Library and Museum
will host a reception and special
screening of the HBO Miniseries
OLIVE KITTERIDGE.

Frances McDormand and Richard
Jenkins star in the four-part
miniseries directed by Lisa
Cholodenko. Based on the Pulitzer
Prize-winning novel by Elizabeth
Strout, with a teleplay by Jane
Anderson, OLIVE KITTERIDGE tells
the poignantly sweet, acerbically
funny and devastatingly tragic
story of a seemingly placid New
England town wrought with illicit
affairs, crime and tragedy, told
through the lens of Olive
(McDormand), whose wicked wit and
harsh demeanor mask a warm but
troubled heart and staunch moral
center.

The story, which spans 25 years,
focuses on Olive's relationships
with her husband, Henry (Jenkins),
the good-hearted and kindly town
pharmacist; their son, Christopher,
who resents his mother's approach
to parenting; and other members of
their community. The production was
filmed in Massachusetts during the
fall of 2013. Locations included:
Beverly, Boston, Essex, Gloucester,
Haverhill, Ipswich, Lawrence, N.
Andover, Rockport, Topsfield and
Worcester; 411 locals and 36 MA
principal actors were employed.

The miniseries' first two parts,
"Pharmacy" and "Incoming Tide,"
debut SUNDAY, NOV. 2 (9:00-11:00
p.m. ET/PT), followed the next
night by the debut of the final two
parts, "A Different Road" and
"Security," on MONDAY, NOV. 3
(9:00-11:00 p.m.).
