This unique public service campaign featured worldwide musical phenomenon One Direction and created a social movement encouraging youth to "Live Nice, Love Everyone, and Move Together Against Bullying." The #Together collaboration, recognized on the CLIO Music Shortlist within the Integrated Campaign medium, included a specially designed limited edition back-to-school product collection where a portion of the sales were donated to fund an anti-bullying education program across America. Additionally, the collaboration featured a 30-second anti-bullying PSA from One Direction that ran nationwide with a broadcast, cinema, and digital media plan targeting students, teachers, and parents, as well as a 70-second version of the message with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage that was featured at One Direction concerts in the U.S. and shared online and through social media. In the spot, One Direction encourages their fans to show their support of the campaign and help stop bullying by Living Nice, True, Confident, Original, and Unique. Digital content also included a suite of personalized videos and GIFs, where each band member discussed what the campaign meant to them and why they chose to participate in this social movement. Other elements included a microsite where fans could share personalized messages and engage in social media, a retail pop-up, ties with the band's movie and album launches, and a public relations campaign that garnered over five billion consumer impressions.
The campaign has won two Interactive Advertising Competition Awards, for both Outstanding Integrated and Best Social Media Campaign. The Summit International Awards bestowed upon it "Best of Show" Public Service Multi-media Campaign, garnering a top six (6) spot out of 5,000 submissions from over 25 countries. Woodward also received the Emery Award from Hetrick-Martin Institute, alongside Chelsea Clinton, David Mixner, and Super Bowl Champion Brendon Ayanbadejo, for his work raising awareness for anti-bullying through creating alliances with the world's most influential music talent, including the 2012 "We Supply Kindness" campaign with Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation.
