Twenty Year Industry Vet Joins Multi-Platform Network to Execute Strategies Across Both Digital and Traditional Distribution Platforms

NEW YORK, Sept. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- REVOLT Senior Vice President of Content Distribution & Marketing James Brown announced today the hire of Berto Guzman as Vice President of Content Distribution (West Coast) to help achieve the network's distribution efforts. Guzman, an industry veteran with more than twenty years experience in distribution, sales and marketing of premium, basic, and VOD programming, will be critical in driving sales and demand for REVOLT across key markets and prospect systems.

Berto Guzman joins REVOLT as Vice President of Content Distribution, responsible for the development and execution of account strategies for key distribution partners across digital and traditional distribution platforms, securing distribution growth for the network. Berto has 20 years of experience with a proven record of growing basic, premium, and VOD content across local, national, and international markets. Prior to joining REVOLT, Guzman served as VP of Affiliate Sales and Marketing for NuvoTV. Managing a team of sales and marketing staff, Guzman successfully oversaw distribution growth in key markets, while also providing valuable marketing campaigns to affiliate partners. As an executive consultant, Guzman developed targeted sales strategies and material for a national premium pay TV service. Guzman also served as Senior Vice President for the International Channel Networks, managing a national affiliate sales and marketing team, responsible for launching and distributing their basic, and 12 premium international channels. In his role at Starz Encore Group, Berto was promoted to VP Affiliate Sales and Marketing of their largest revenue generating accounts. Overseeing all aspects of the Starz business, Berto managed steep YTY growth in each of his 5 years at Starz. His career at DIRECTV included marketing manager roles during the start-up and launch phases for both DIRECTV US, and DIRECTV Latin America. While at DIRECTV, Berto developed their original PPV business and established marketing partnerships with Latin American corporations. Selected in multiple years as "Most Influential" in the industry by CableFax, Berto also received the prestigious and exclusive NAMIC national LUMINARY award. Attending California State University at Dominguez Hills, Berto majored in Communications/PR with a minor in Marketing.
