New series "Fight to Survive" [Saturdays at 1:30 p.m. ET] brings to Outdoor Channel the inspirational stories of individuals who have faced almost certain death and fought to stay alive. The series kicks off with host Craig DeMartino recounting his own harrowing story of survival following a 100-foot free fall that left him with devastating injuries. However, DeMartino was determined to continue to follow his passion for climbing and the great outdoors. He's since become a celebrated paraclimber and motivational speaker. Tune in to see his and other truly astounding stories that illustrate how faith, determination and the human spirit can overcome even the most insurmountable of odds.
Another new series, "The Gunfather" [Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET], stars Louie Tuminaro, a native New Yorker turned Hamilton, Montana transplant. Tuminaro moved his family - wife Theresa and father Joe, affectionately known as "Pops," along with children Louie Jr., Nicole and Alex - across the country to make his dream of owning the best gun shop in the West into a reality. The cameras follow Tuminaro on the road as he searches for unique pieces to sell, as well as in-shop where the restoration of antique and collectible firearms takes place. Watch as he tries to balance family and small town living while artfully closing deals with prospective firearms buyers.
"Outdoor Channel immerses its viewers in attention-grabbing TV about men and women and their exhilarating quests to follow their passions. And this quarter is no exception," said Jeffrey Wayne, Executive Vice President of Programming at Outdoor Channel. "We're thrilled to introduce two new series to the network - one starring Craig DeMartino that chronicles truly inspiring tales of human strength and the other featuring gun shop owner Louie Tuminaro who drives a hard bargain. These two men might come from different backgrounds but they both possess a charismatic and dynamic character that is sure to be embraced by our viewers."
