Celtic Thunder will perform songs from Holiday Symphony on their forthcoming 20 city tour of North America, the group's first with a full symphony orchestra. The highly-anticipated Celtic Thunder North American Holiday Symphony Tour kicks off in Clearwater, Florida on November 14 and winds up in Grand Prairie, Texas on December 14 (see full itinerary following).

For the group's first symphony orchestra tour, Celtic Thunder will depart from their large scale set productions to perform seasonal music from Holiday Symphony, joined in each market by prestigious local orchestras including the Dallas Pops, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Nashville Symphony Orchestra, among others. The new Celtic Thunder touring production will spotlight holiday favorites ranging from carols to contemporary classics as well as signature Celtic Thunder hit songs and traditional Irish numbers. Celtic Thunder will perform a mixture of solo, duets and ensemble number in a spectacular concert experience.

Celtic Thunder's Holiday Symphony showcases an eclectic selection of Christmas standards from around the world, wrapped in Celtic Thunder's signature big production sound. Six Celtic Thunder male soloists perform solo and ensemble numbers on Holiday Symphony, backed by a 90-piece Orchestra.

Tracks on Holiday Symphony range from traditional carols "Away in A Manger," "Come All Ye Faithful" and "O Holy Night" to contemporary pop classics "Fairytale of New York" and "Mary Did You Know." The album ranges from slow and pensive numbers ("Gabriel's Message" and "Comfort Ye" arias from Handel's Messiah) to larger ensemble numbers ("Carol of the Bells," "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen") and culminates with the wonderfully fast-paced arrangement of a new "Christmas Medley: Sleigh Ride, Here Comes Santa Claus, The Parade Of The Wooden Soldiers, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town & I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus."

Recorded in Ireland last summer, Holiday Symphony is the latest CD from Celtic Thunder creator Sharon Browne and Musical Director David Munro.

Celtic Thunder's Holiday Symphony is the 11th release for the renowned Irish theatrical singing ensemble, which first appeared on Public Television in 2008. Since that first airing, Celtic Thunder has consistently remained one of the most popular musical shows for stations throughout the country. Hailed three times as BILLBOARD's Top World Music Artist and Top World Imprint (2008, 2009 and 2011), Celtic Thunder has achieved sales of over 2 million copies to date.

The Celtic Thunder show also continues to extensively tour the USA, Canada and Australia and New Zealand, performing to more than 700,000 fans over the past seven years. Celtic Thunder's official YouTube channel, "Thunder Tube" has seen over 28 million-upload views since the channel's inception in 2008. In addition to appearing in nine hugely successful Public Television specials, including the most recent smash hit Mythology, Celtic Thunder has performed at the White House for President and Mrs. Obama, at the Pentagon for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as well as on the CBS Saturday Show's Second Cup Café, the Today Show, and Fox and Friends.
