One Path to Inner Peace is Getting Claims Paid Fast; Supplemental Insurance Can Help Alleviate the Stress of a Major Medical Emergency
COLUMBUS, Ga., Aug. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Aflac, the leading provider of voluntary insurance in the United States, will debut its newest television commercial, "Duck Does Yoga" today. It will first appear on air during the CMA Music Festival tonight at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
The commercial continues Aflac's campaign of contrasting activities that the Duck doesn't perform well to how quickly the company pays claims - often in just four days. In the latest installment, the lively Duck finds himself quite out of place in a serene yoga studio.
"When someone experiences a serious illness or injury, it's often followed by a series of stressful moments including missing work and receiving unplanned medical bills," said Michael Zuna, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Aflac. "During these situations, time is of the essence. Aflac customers have peace of mind knowing that not only will Aflac be there for them when they need it most, but our cash benefits will be there quickly - often in four days."
The "Duck Does Yoga" ad opens with calming music playing as yoga students begin their class with deep breaths in and out. The tranquil scene is quickly interrupted by the Duck loudly exhaling, "Aaa-flaaaac." After a few puzzled glances around the room, the instructor continues through a series of poses that the Duck attempts to perform.
One student eventually comments to a friend that the Duck is "not that great at yoga." The friend agrees, but adds that when she slipped a disk, Aflac paid her claim in less than four days. Impressed at how quickly Aflac pays claims, the women realize that while the Aflac Duck might not be great at yoga, he'll bend over backwards to help Aflac pay claims quickly so policyholders can focus on recovering from injury or illness without worrying about their finances.
