OTTAWA, June 3, 2014 /CNW/ - Espial, a leader in on-demand TV software
and solutions, today announced a joint RDK solution with Samsung
Electronics that gives cable operators greater choice in building best
of breed hardware and software set-top box solutions. The two RDK
licensees have teamed on a rich, multiplatform home entertainment HTML5
user experience (UX), combining Samsung's IP set-top box and home media
gateway with the Espial STB Client.

The Reference Design Kit (RDK) is a pre-integrated software bundle

TV service providers. The RDK was developed to accelerate the
deployment of next-generation video services and prevent software
fragmentation by providing speed-to-market, collaboration and
