SAN DIEGO, May 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Rock My World Inc., the company behind the RockMyRun smartphone application providing The Best Running Music in the World(TM), today announced the expansion of its myBeat(TM) technology to include myBeat(TM) MatchMe, a new step-driven feature exclusively available on RockMyRun. MatchMe is a groundbreaking, real-time body driven music technology that recognizes your steps per minute and automatically manipulates the music's beat per minute (BPM) to match your step count.

More than 80 percent of people turn to music for motivation when working out, which is why RockMyRun's goal is to both inspire and promote positive feelings about exercise. With the new MatchMe technology, RockMyRun continues to enhance working out by providing music at a beat your body chooses. This combination of music and technology, called synchronous music, has been proven to motivate runners to cover more distance, while decreasing oxygen needs by 7 percent and increasing time to exhaustion up to 15 percent longer than normal.

The ability of the myBeat feature to improve a workout is supported by research that shows that synchronous music during a workout boosts performance and overall enjoyment.

MatchMe is available to Premium Members in the RockMyRun app for iPhone. RockMyRun will be offering new and existing users a free, limited time Premium Membership to experience myBeat MatchMe.

RockMyRun is free and available immediately to download from the App Store and Google Play with the option to purchase a Premium Membership for additional features.
