CALABASAS, Calif., May 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Los Angeles based auction house Profiles in History is proud to present the third and final auction from actress Debbie Reynolds on May 17 and 18, 2014. This two-day sale features over 800 lots from Debbie Reynolds' legendary Hollywood collection covering the dawn of film on through Hollywood's golden age and beyond. Featuring props and costumes from films and stars like The Ten Commandments, Vivien Leigh's hat worn in Gone with the Wind, Orson Welles' "Kane" mink coat worn in Citizen Kane, hats worn by Charlie Chaplin (bowler hat) and Harpo Marx (top hat), elaborate costumes worn by Ingrid Bergman, Grace Kelly, Mae West and Fred Astaire, a complete set of tuxedos worn by "The Rat Pack" and Elvis Presley's grand piano. A large collection of Motion Picture Cameras used on films such as Frankenstein, Dracula and Star Wars; star portrait photography, movie scene stills, lobby cards, movie posters, including possibly the only three-sheet poster from Singin' in the Rain in existence are also set to hit the auction block.
This live auction is open to the public and will take place at the Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio in North Hollywood, CA. International bidders are welcome to participate online (in real time), by telephone or via absentee.
