Comic Con is partnering with SL Zombie Walk to occupy the Utah State Capitol. The ball will begin at 5:00 pm MST at the Utah State Capitol and end at 10:00 pm. The schedule of events is as follows:

-- 5:00pm - Zombies lineup for invasion around the capitol building.
(Capitol Grounds)
-- 6:00pm - Begin the Zombie Invasion. (Walk from outer edges of grounds to
front doors)
-- 6:15pm - Music and dancing begin.
-- 8:00pm - Announce Zombie Royalty (Winners Receive free VIP Passes to
Salt Lake Comic Con FanX)
Tickets to the Ball are limited and cost $10.00 online prior to the Ball and $20.00 onsite. Salt Lake Comic Con FanX VIP ticket holders get in free. Free parking can be found in locations surrounding the Capitol grounds.

Participating "Walkers" and "Survivors" are encouraged to bring canned food that will be donated to the Utah Food Bank as part of Salt Lake Comic Con's Food Not Brains food drive. Non-perishable food items will be collected at the Capitol Building. The Zombie Ball will include a dance and couple and group dance photos. Photos are $5.00 when purchased online in advance and $8.00 onsite.

As per the Utah State Capitol security policy, there will be a Cosplay weapons check upon entrance. All fake weapons must be marked with orange tips. Additionally, anyone with blood on costumes that can drip onto the Capitol floors will not be allowed into the building.

"Last August we participated in a Zombie Walk in downtown Salt Lake City and not only had a lot of fun, but also collected a lot of food for the Utah Food Bank," said Dan Farr, Salt Lake Comic Con Co-Founder and Show Producer. "The first Comic Con really allowed people to unleash their inner Zombies (and Survivors) and love of dressing up in costumes. With most of The Walking Dead(TM) cast attending FanX we felt it was time to hold a Zombie Ball and let people test out their costumes and get primed for the Salt Lake Comic Con FanX in April."

A large portion of the cast from the highly popular Walking Dead TV series will be at FanX. This includes Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, Laurie Holden and Jon Bernthal.

Salt Lake Comic Con FanX is expected to draw more than 100,000 attendees, which would break the record for the largest convention in Utah that was set in September by the inaugural Salt Lake Comic Con. For FanX, show organizers have doubled the floor space and have already sold out all booth and exhibitor space.

"We've got almost as much floor space as San Diego Comic Con, so space isn't an issue for us at FanX," continued Farr. "In fact, we're fast approaching the size of what people will see in San Diego in only our second year. With FanX, we'll break our own record of being the largest convention in Utah by upwards of 30 percent."

The inaugural Salt Lake Comic Con was the largest first year Comic Con in the United States and trails only San Diego Comic Con and New York Comic Con in terms of total number of attendees. California boasts the largest population in the United States, while New York has the second largest population in the country. By comparison, Utah has the thirty-third largest population in the country.
