Zachary Levi's Nerd Machine launches a cutting edge Indiegogo Crowd-fund Campaign to keep the fan-favorite "NERD HQ" alive and raises 100K in first 48 hours

LOS ANGELES, March 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

WHO: Zachary Levi is the co-founder of The Nerd Machine and creator of
the hugely popular NERD HQ, an annual event held as a complement to
San Diego Comic Con. NERD HQ is focused on fan experience as well
as raising money for the charitable organization Operation Smile
(415K to date). Levi has launched a crowd funding rally unlike any
other, relying specifically on the power and voice of the fans.
This "by the people, for the people" mentality is the foundation of
the "I Want My Nerd HQ" movement. Levi has a history of calling
fans to action, which was evident in past years with the
mobilization of fans to help save TV's "Chuck" season after season.
Levi is now encouraging fans to support NERD HQ for a fourth year.

WHAT: Levi and Nerd Machine are asking fans to help bring back NERD HQ
with a crowd funding effort geared towards bringing people together
and expressing their collective power. The "I Want My NERD HQ"
Indiegogo campaign is raising funds necessary to produce the event
and recruiting fans to be a part of the "Nerd HQ Army." No
traditional rewards structure has been put in place as Levi asks
each person to give what they can and values each gesture of giving
exactly the same. The strategy is working. Levi and Nerd Machine
have raised over 100K towards their million dollar goal in less
than 2 days.
