Thirteen films from the 2013 Festival to make exclusive digital debut on Vimeo On Demand
NEW YORK, Jan. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Vimeo unveiled thirteen films making their digital debut in 2014 exclusively on Vimeo On Demand after premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival. "Vimeo is the quality open platform for creators to distribute directly to their audiences," said Vimeo CEO, Kerry Trainor. "The breadth of subjects and number of countries represented by these accomplished filmmakers shows just how powerful the direct distribution movement is becoming worldwide."
The movies cover a range of topics, from a comedy set in the ex-pat area in Beijing (This is Sanlitun) to how day-to-day life can make us lose sight of the big picture (The Animal Project). The collection features a number of award-winning filmmakers from the around the world, including two-time Sundance winner Alexandre Rockwell, along with Shayne Ehman and Seth Scriver, winners of the Festival's Best Canadian First Feature Award.
