NAMIC Leadership Seminar Scholarship Opportunities Announced

Nominations Deadline for the First of Three 2014 Scholarships Set for February 14th

NEW YORK, Jan. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), a leading 501(c)(6) trade association, today announced scholarship opportunities for the NAMIC Leadership Seminars scheduled for 2014. Three full scholarships covering tuition, program materials, travel, lodging and meals are being awarded through a generous gift from the Walter Kaitz Foundation. The first scholarship is being offered for participation in the Leadership Seminar scheduled for March 26-28, 2014 in Miami, Florida.

Scholarship recipients will be professionals of color from small cable operators and programmers that might otherwise not have adequate resources to send them to the Leadership Seminar. Eligible candidates are new directors (less than two years), managers and supervisors who are strong performers in their current roles, and who demonstrate the motivation to attain higher positions through continuous learning and leadership development. Scholarship candidates must have the endorsement of their respective companies to be considered.

The nomination submissions deadline for the 2014 scholarships is Friday, February 14.
