Altran Broadcasts Live From the Solar-Impulse Virtual Flight
PARIS, December 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
From 17 and 20 December 2013, " Career "*, Altran's web TV show dedicated to
recruitment and engineering career opportunities, will be stationed at the Duebendorf
military base in Switzerland to cover the Solar Impulse 72-hour non-stop virtual flight. A
key stage in the preparations for the 2015 round-the-world tour, the virtual flight will
be piloted by Bertrand Piccard and broadcast live over the three-day period, at 6.00 pm on
the web (Facebook Altran [https://www.facebook.com/AltranGroup ] and Altran.tv
[http://www.altran.tv ]).

The challenge for the HB-SIB solar plane during the round-world tour is for one pilot
to fly five days straight on solar energy alone. It is, therefore, essential to analyse
the possible flight scenarios, as well as fatigue management, autohypnosis and cockpit
ergonomics, etc.
Each web TV show will take you behind the scenes of the virtual flight.
Every day at 6.00 pm (CET), the " Career " team accompanied by Altran's two
Solar-Impulse experts will let you share a unique experience and discover the
technological challenges raised by our experts:
- The highlights of the last 24 hours
- Focus on the technical aspects of the flight, the new plane which is currently
under construction and the logistics, etc.
- The portrait of an Altran consultant, as well as his/her career-path and
experience on the project.
