U.S. China Film & Television Industry Expo Launches Stateside at American Film Institute Event

Organization developed to serve as a conduit for collaboration between the U.S. and China film and television industries

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. China Film and Television Industry Expo (UCFTI), an organization that aims to help bridge U.S. and China film and television markets, today announced its event at the AFI FEST 2013 Presented by Audi. On Monday, November 11 at 5 p.m., UCFTI will host an event at the historic Roosevelt Hotel that will foster collaboration by helping U.S. companies and individuals navigate Chinese rules and regulations while connecting potential creative and business partners. Additionally, influential delegates from China will be attending from the following organizations: Film Hi-Tech Committee of China Film Association, China Film Editing Association CTV Audio-Visual (Beijing) and the International Culture Exchange Center.

In 2012, China became the world's second largest movie market by total box office, with overall ticket revenues topping $2.81 billion. As such, UCFTI recognizes this is a crucial moment for the film industry, and the time has never been better for U.S. and Chinese entertainment industry leaders to collaborate on opportunities in their respective markets.

"The UCFTI Expo is a must-attend event for everyone in the entertainment industry," said Bianca Chen, founder of the UCFTI Expo. "Attendees will be a part of the inaugural event that will bring together the world's top film and television market leaders to learn from one another and network for future collaborations."

Chen, an industry expert and veteran producer in Film and Television as well as PR events, has been a leading figure in various business collaborations between the US and China for the past 15 years. Chen brings her vast experience to lead the planning of the Expo. The UCFTI Expo will take place on March 5 and 6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and will bring together top executives, creative teams, producers and distributors from the world's two leading film and television markets to tackle the big issues and questions related to US and China collaboration.
