Toyota Lights up the Night with 5K Glow Run and Dance Party on 11/16

Italian EDM sensation Shy Kidx will turn the party up after the race inside the D.C. Armory

WASHINGTON, Nov. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Have you ever wished you could jump off the couch and into the commercial you're watching on TV? Imagine if it were a huge dance party, with colorful lights and loud, vibrant music from an internationally known DJ. Tomorrow, Toyota's making it a reality for Washington, D.C. locals.

Toyota's transforming Robert F. Kennedy Stadium into a giant, glow-in-the-park dance party similar to its most recent Corolla commercial "Style Never Goes Out Of Style." The commercial features music and dancers from several significant historical eras, ultimately celebrating 2013 with hundreds of brightly dressed dancers in syncopation to Italian DJ's Shy Kidx's "Orion." During tomorrow's 5k Glow Run and Dance Party, hundreds of people will dance or run their way through an interactive glow-in-the-dark course set to music.

Participants will be encouraged to wear glow-in-the-dark gear and move to the beat of music blaring from speakers along the course.

After passing the finish line, participants will dance the night away inside the D.C. Armory with live music by Shy Kidx himself, bringing the commercial to life.

Throughout the event, participants will be sharing their experiences on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #5kdanceparty.

The Glow Run is part of a series of events on a national tour produced by Living Social.
