On January 22nd 2014 at 1pm Paul Korda is to give the first of a series of seminars to the Independent Artists Program at The Musicians Institute in Hollywood California, his perspectives on creating, recording, producing and distributing, marketing and promoting their work in the Age of Digital representation. Having had the experience as well as coming from a family of music and film artists, with his great uncle Lawrence Wright establishing the music industry in the UK, forming the the first reproductions of music copies for sale around the country and going on to form Chappell Music, and the first independent music paper Melody Maker, his grandmother Florence Wright taking her 13 children "on the road" as angels in the Vaudeville era, with her husband Tommy Lenner playing piano and his mother and her sisters all being part of the Lenner Sisters, Anne Lenner singing with US composer Carole Gibbons, his mother Shirley Lenner starring as the lead in 1942 hit movie musical "Those Kids from Town" as well as singing with Joe Loss, George Elrick and occasionally with Stephan Grappelli, member of the famed Hot Club Quintet de Paris, and their other sister Judy Shirley being the compeer of the BBC's "Monday Night at Seven" during the second world war, together with his father MGM recording Artist Tibor Kunstler who not only being a sideman to US saxophone legend Coleman Hawkins on the first US Jazz tour of the East , as well as studying vocal at La Scala in Milan and violin and saxophone at Franz Liszt Conservatory in Hungary, Paul Korda has a wealth of both genetic and experiential information to impart to his students, having written songs since the age of six, and going on to be a Parlophone record artist as well as an EMI producer, producing records at the legendary Abbey Road Studios and continuing in both Music and Film until 2013.
