NBCUniversal-owned Stations Win More Emmys Than Any Local News Organization
DALLAS and FORT WORTH, Texas, Nov. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Lone Star Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awarded NBC 5 / KXAS-TV and Telemundo 39 / KXTX-TV a total of 33 Lone Star Emmy® Awards during its 11th annual awards gala in San Antonio on Saturday, November 9, 2013. The Lone Star Chapter represents the state of Texas' 19 television markets.
NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 began serving local viewers last month from "The Studios at DFW," a state-of-the-art broadcasting and multimedia news facility located near DFW International Airport.
Noticiero Telemundo 39 won a total of 18 Emmys - more than any other Spanish language station in the State of Texas for 2013. Noticiero Telemundo 39 recognitions include:
