Empire State Realty Trust Brings Holiday Magic To New York City And Visitors From Around The World

Empire State Building to Celebrate Holiday Season With LED Tower Lightings, Festive Decorations and Holiday Concerts

NEW YORK, Nov. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: ESRT) today announced the Empire State Building's (ESB) plans to celebrate the 2013 holiday season for New Yorkers, visitors and fans around the world.

Holiday Decorations:

Beginning November 21, ESB will unveil its custom holiday decorations throughout its main lobby. Upon entering the Fifth Avenue entrance, visitors will be greeted by ESB's festive holiday decorations in shades of gold, bronze and silver that enhance the building's own architectural Art Deco details, colors and ambiance, including:


-- Larger-than-life snowflake installations, inspired by details found
within the Art Deco, celestial-sky ceiling mural,
-- 20-foot, LED-lit holiday trees that flank the lobby's iconic wall mural,
-- Oversized, holiday wreaths,
-- Lobby windows featuring lavish vignettes incorporating the building
within seasonal holiday scenes.
Holiday Music Performances:

From December 2-20, during the hours of 8-11 a.m., 12-3 p.m., and 4-7 p.m., a pianist will perform in the Fifth Avenue Lobby, playing holiday favorites and classical music selections.

ESB will host select school choirs November 21-22, as well as on Thursdays and Fridays from December 1-20. The choirs will conduct special performances on the 80(th) floor en route to the Observation deck during the hours of 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Festive concerts from a variety of professional musicians will also add to the magical experience of visiting ESB during the holiday season. The performances will take place from 10 a.m. - 12 noon in the South West corner of the Observatory's 80(th) floor "Dare to Dream" exhibit. The holiday concert schedule is as follows:


-- December 26 - Jazz with Dan Levinson
-- December 27 - Osso String Quartet
-- December 28 - Manhattan Brass Quintet
-- December 29 - String of Pearls
-- December 30 - The Anderson Twins
-- December 31 - Brad Quintet
Iconic Tower Lightings:
