In 1993, a group of artists from New York City's Staten Island and Brooklyn boroughs came together to challenge the current state of hip-hop. Their raw, energetic, chaotic yet coordinated approach yielded one of the most unique, innovative and influential records of all time. Those artists - RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa and Ol' Dirty Bastard - were together known as the Wu-Tang Clan and the record - "Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)," released November 9, 1993, would change the face of hip-hop forever.

At the same time in Southern California, a group of skateboarders fed up with the lack of performance and innovation in skate shoes set out to challenge the current state of the footwear market. With the confident, collaborative sound of the Wu-Tang Clan as their soundtrack, those skateboarders went on to create a similarly innovative product - the DC Shoes brand.

DC is proud to present a limited-edition "Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)" 20 Year Anniversary Collection to commemorate this revolutionary album and its influence on the brand and skate culture. Featuring the highest quality materials and fabrications, artwork from the original album cover and exclusive Wu-Tang anniversary branding, the collection consists of a heavy wool blend peacoat with satin lining and custom gold metal buttons (MSRP $250), lux full grain leather high-top boots with gold eyelets (MSRP $110) and a hat constructed with Performance CycleDry fabric and New Era brim (MSRP $38). A limited quantity of each will be available for purchase worldwide on November 14(th) at 9am EST at www.dcshoes.com/wutang.

"The Wu-Tang Clan and their first album had an enormous influence on our culture and our brand," said Jeff Taylor, Senior Vice President of Global Brand and Marketing for DC Shoes. "We're thrilled to collaborate with Wu-Tang on this exclusive footwear and apparel collection and celebrate an album that continues to inspire."

"We're hyped to be working with DC. They're pioneers in the shoe industry just like Wu-Tang are pioneers in the music and street wear game," added Oliver "Power" Grant, Executive Producer of "Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)." "In honor of the "skate life" on the anniversary of both these homegrown giants, it made perfect sense to collaborate and celebrate with DC."

In addition to the limited-edition product collaboration, DC and Wu-Tang will unveil the short film "STREETS & BOARDS & BEES & SWORDS" which follows the parallel stories of one album's effect on the music and skate industries and the simultaneous launch of a brand onto the skate scene that forever changed footwear. Written and Directed by Kirk Dianda, the film is told through interviews with the icons that paved the way, and chronicles the common thread amongst underdogs and visionaries... Musicians, skateboarders and forward thinkers alike must believe in themselves and break the rules in order to change the world.

Details will continue to be announced on social media, @dcshoes (Twitter, Instagram) and @wutangclan (Twitter) @wutangbrand (Instagram), through the dedicated hashtags #dcxwutang #20thanniversary, and more information can be found on both brands' Facebook pages at www.facebook.com/dcshoes and www.facebook.com/officialwutang as well as on the DC site at www.dcshoes.com/wutang.
