Formerly NJ Today with Mike Schneider, the program rebrand marks the next evolutionary step for local public television news;
Next generation of newscast to offer more stories from across the state and revitalized, more user-friendly web presence
MONTCLAIR, N.J., Oct. 30, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Beginning November 4(th), NJTV, New Jersey's public television network, will re-launch its current weeknight news program, NJ Today with Mike Schneider, as NJTV News with Mike Schneider. The name change marks the beginning of the next generation of New Jersey public television news--specifically a more vibrant local news program both on-air and online to keep New Jerseyans better informed about local happenings from more parts of the state than ever before.

Among the show's aesthetic and format improvements: a sleek graphics overhaul and fresh music to accompany a news program that will feature an increased number of field packages from all across the Garden State.
Online, the NJTV News with Mike Schneider companion website has undergone a complete makeover to host more user-friendly features like easily-identifiable news categories and more plentiful state news items than ever before, including Associated Press content.
Viewers will also have the opportunity to make news by submitting story ideas, video and photos for potential use by the news team.
