Prior to joining The Raben Group in 2012, Williamson was a member of the executive team at MTV Networks from 1998-2011. In her capacity of senior vice president of public affairs and corporate responsibility for MTV Networks, Williamson crafted award-winning public affairs initiatives and strategies and assisted in guiding MTVN's diversity agenda as an executive advisor for global inclusion.

During her tenure at MTVN, Williamson served as a member of the NAMIC Board of Directors from 2000-2010. Williamson's ten-years of NAMIC governance included a two-year term as board chair from 2006-2008. In her role as board chair, Williamson made significant contributions to NAMIC's infrastructure, such as assisting with the development of the association's Annual Corporate Sponsor initiative and facilitating MTVN's underwriting of the pilot Executive Leadership Development Program.

"As we move toward Diversity Week, the Annual NAMIC Conference, the start of ELDP class thirteen and other upcoming initiatives, we are fortunate to have a proven executive and diversity champion of Alicin's caliber to provide transitional leadership for the association," said Michael D. Armstrong, NAMIC board chair, "Alicin's extensive knowledge of NAMIC's mission and history, and her expert consultation combined with the strategic counsel that she brings as a principal of The Raben Group will be invaluable as the board works diligently to ensure that this transition is seamless for all stakeholders."

Williamson commented: "I am so happy to rejoin my industry colleagues for this period of time through Raben. NAMIC's work has never been more important and I appreciate the opportunity to assist in guiding the association's initiatives during this interim period. As we transition to a new leader, I look forward to working with the board, staff and NAMIC's supporters to collectively champion diversity and inclusion."
