New TV Series "My Thai Life" to be Shot in Thailand, Syndicated Globally

American, Thai and Australian actors tapped for one-hour scripted drama

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Casting has begun for the new television drama "My Thai Life," written by Travis Romero (White Collar), and developed for Thailand's leading pay TV operator True Visions (http://truevisions.truecorp.co.th/) and Dale Godboldo Enterprises (http://www.godboldoenterprises.com/) for US and international syndication. "My Thai Life" will be shot in English, and set throughout the exotic country of Thailand.

"My Thai Life" is a one-hour scripted drama created by Travis Romero (White Collar) and Emmy Wu about a fictional film crew working in Thailand to make a Vietnam War era movie. The cast is an international mix of Americans, Thais, and Europeans. Romero has partnered with True Visions, Thailand's Premier cable provider, to develop the series, which is to be shot in English and filmed in Thailand for an international audience. Casting for the series has begun, and so far includes actors from America, Thailand and Australia.

The ensemble cast will include Dale Godboldo (Thor, Bones, Wanda at Large), Nicholle Tom (The Nanny, The Mentalist), Chris Meyer (Sex and the City, Law and Order SVU, CSI Miami), Denny Kirkwood (Cougar Town), Jennifer Field (Entourage) and new-comer to the small screen, Matthew Ziff (Six Gun Savior, Hard Flip, Treachery), as well Thai actors including Benjasiri Wattana, Sirichay Pliendok and and Phil Blaze.

"My Thai Life" is targeting a global audience used to picking and choosing what they want to watch, when they want, and on the device they want, representing a new "verge culture" with a dynamic mash-up of tastes. This audience will be tapped utilizing both traditional and cutting edge television and online syndication strategies, that can reach over 55 million homes in Thailand, up to 80 million U.S. homes, and millions more around the world.

"I was thrilled to find True Visions on board to partner on a show with a young and sexy international cast that would also promote Thailand and Thai culture in a positive light," states Travis Romero. "We're excited to see True Visions' leading subscriber base in Thailand paired with a comprehensive global syndication strategy managed by Emmy and Dale."

Romero, Wu and Godboldo will be working with True Visions' Chief Program and Content Officer, Attaphon Bangxang, to structure the most effective marketing and release strategies for the series worldwide.

Dale Godboldo states, "Travis and Emmy have created high-value, original episodic programming that targets an international audience. My Thai Life represents today's verge culture, and I'm anxious to leverage our company's strategic alliances to assist this fantastic series in its syndication throughout the world."
