Houston CEO to Host Mixer in Support of Mayoral Candidate

HOUSTON, Aug. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Velma Trayham, the business maven and Founder/CEO of Jazzy Girls Luxury Hair Collection, the company behind a luxury line of extensions to both celebrities and women of class, and Positive Strong Black Entrepreneurs, an organization of business owners who give back to their community, will host a "Mix & Mingle" event titled "The Beauty of Politics" Affair. The purpose of the event is to increase awareness of Ben Hall's platform, build mutually beneficial alliances among professionals and highlight the city's ever-growing fashion and beauty industry. The Boutique, an up and coming reconstructive and apparel design will produce a star studded runway fashion show to commemorate the event and Houston's fashion industry. "The Beauty of Politics" Affair will be held on Monday, Aug. 19(th), 2013 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at DSC Events & Banquet Center, 6535 Dumfries Dr.

During the "The Beauty of Politics" Mix & Mingle, Hall will share the platform of his "Ben Hall for Mayor" campaign as well as his vision and plans for Houston once elected Mayor. The event will place him directly in the community of voters and will allow him to network with small business owners and other key industry insiders. Attendees comprised of special invited guests from both the fashion/beauty industry and Hall's database will enjoy a night of networking, fundraising and a fabulous fashion show of local designers and clothing boutiques. Guests will also enjoy cocktails, hor d'oeuvres and will have red carpet/press opportunities all while forming new relationships in both the fashion/beauty and political arena.

"I want to create a networking and intimate setting that will serve as the platform for Ben Hall to introduce himself to potential supporters while simultaneously giving a voice to the city's fashion and beauty industry," said Velma Trayham. Hall obtained a law degree from Harvard Law School in 1986 and served as the City Attorney for the City of Houston for 11 years. Through his nationally recognized Hall Law Firm, he has applied the principles of courage, tenacity and justice to every issue he's overseen and assures he'll do the same as Mayor. Singer/Songwriter, Kat St. John, will kick off Hall's introduction with her beautiful rendition of the National Anthem and Trayham will present him with an award in recognition of his past accomplishments.
