Voting "Too Close To Call" Until Final Minutes; New Slate of Contestants Announced for August 6 Show

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Aug. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Dream Big America, the first-ever live nationally syndicated radio show pitting startup business ventures against each other, and broadcast on Doug Stephan's Good Day Show (www.dougstephan.com) each Tuesday at 9:10 am EDT, announced today the winner from the July 30 Finals Show. Looky Loo Light, from Kansas City, Missouri (www.lookyloolight.com), and presented by CEO Allison Carenza, received the most votes from the nationwide audience. Voting was extremely close, with only 0.27% separating the first and second place contestants.

Voting was intense for the first-ever Dream Big America Finals Show, which included two other contestants, Bawte from Des Moines, Iowa (www.bawte.com), and myEDmatch form Kansas City, Missouri (www.myEDmatch.com).

NEW CONTESTANTS ANNOUNCED

Immediately after the announcement of this week's winner, Dream Big America announced the three contestants for the August 6 show. The contestants for the August Week One show are:

Tutor Universe (www.tutoruniverse.com), based in Iowa City, Iowa, is a social marketplace for learning that enables students and tutors to collaborate. Co-founder Michael Morrison will present Tutor Universe's two-minute pitch.

Qurate (www.qurate.net), based in St. Louis, Missouri, is a mobile-first iPhone application that lets you better connect with each of your closest friendships. Presenting Qurate's two-minute pitch will be CEO Ryan O'Neil.

Trellie (www.trellie.com), based in Kansas City, Missouri, builds innovative technology solutions for women and their families that save time, provide peace of mind and enable better communication. Presenting Trellie's two-minute pitch will be Co-Founder Claude Aldridge.

PRIZE PACKAGE ANNOUNCED

The Prize package for the July Finals Show was announced live today on the Good Day Show during the winner's announcement. The package includes cash and resources exceeding $19,000. Companies sponsoring the winning prize package are:
