WADL To Air Mayoral Debate One Week Before Primary Election

AS DETROIT ENTERS BANKRUPTCY THE EYES OF THE COUNTRY WILL BE ON DETROIT TUESDAY JULY 30TH AT 8PM

DETROIT, July 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- WADL TV 38 will air LIVE the CITY OF DETROIT Mayoral Debate this Tuesday July 30th beginning at 8pm and running a full 90 minutes or more until 930pm. The Charles H. Wright Museum Of African American History (315 East Warren, Detroit) will play host to 11 candidates who have officially entered the Mayoral Primary, which takes place on Tuesday August 6th. With Bankruptcy proceedings underway, and the controversy surrounding write in candidate Mike Duggan, this is sure to be a night to remember as Detroit continues to be under the international microscope. The debate will air on WADL TV 38 uninterrupted with no commercial breaks. WWJ Newsradio 950 is co-sponsoring the debate with Morning Drive anchorman Tom Jordan serving as host and moderator.

Joining candidate Duggan under the hot lights will be Benny Napoleon, Lisa Howze, Krystal Crittendon, Tom Barrow and others. The top two vote getters in the August Primary will meet in the General Election this November and will square off in a no holds barred one on one debate to be aired Live on WADL TV 38 on October 29th. The panel of questioners for both debates will be comprised of Nolan Finley, Editorial Page Editor of The Detroit News, Stephen Henderson, Editorial Page Editor of The Detroit Free Press and Debbie Dingell, President of d2 Strategies.
