19th Annual Colorado Irish Festival is here
DENVER, July 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Colorado's premier summer festival is back for 2013, July 12-14 in Littleton's Clement Park. Now in its 19(th) year, the Colorado Irish Festival promises to treat attendees - Irish or not - to some of the best Gaelic music, dancing, sports, food and fun this side of the pond. New for 2013 is the Paddy'o, a special VIP area featuring a private bar, snacks, shade tent, restrooms, exclusive viewing area of the main stage, and special band appearances between sets.
Musical acts like Gaelic Storm, Seven Nations and the Fighting Jamesons (to name only a few), will rock out on three stages spread throughout the grounds. Dancers of all ages will also gather to compete in the feis -pronounced fesh - a traditional Irish dance competition. Bagpipes, drum bands, face painters and a host of other artists will add to the exciting cultural experience of this three-day St. Patrick's-esque celebration.
Additionally, the Denver Gaels, Colorado's own Gaelic football team, will present the Irish sports of Hurling, Camogie and Gaelic football.
Tickets can be purchased online, at your local King Soopers or any Tickets West Outlet, or at the event. Admission will be $15 per person, $10 for seniors over 65 and active military members with valid I.D. for the events on Saturday and Sunday. Admission on Friday is free before 6 p.m., and $10 thereafter.
All proceeds from the 2013 Colorado Irish Festival go to the non-profit members of the CUIS, a Denver-based 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting Irish culture across Colorado.
