LGH19 Productions Announces A Dynamic Live Event to Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum
The live event will be part of a 14-month musical celebration that includes an ongoing silent auction to benefit the National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum
LOS ANGELES, June 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Seventy-four years ago on June 12, 1939, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum opened its doors for the very first time. In celebration of the Museum's Diamond Anniversary next year, LGH19 Productions has announced details of a major live event it will produce on Saturday evening, August 2, 2014 on the same stage where the 2014 Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place six days earlier. The live event will feature some of the music industry's top recording artists, as well as celebrities from the world of film, television and baseball, and take place in Cooperstown, New York on the pastoral grounds of the Clark Sports Center in a benefit for the National Baseball Hall Of Fame & Museum, just weeks after its 75(th) Anniversary. Special musical guests include the world renowned Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, who will serve as the "house band" for the evening.
Jeff Idelson, President of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, said, "We are so pleased that LGH19 Productions has chosen to produce a live event from Cooperstown next August, which will benefit the Hall of Fame and help honor our 75th year. Cooperstown is renowned for baseball. This event will allow music, movie and baseball fans to come together to celebrate in Cooperstown, just days after the 2014 induction ceremony."
Some of the organizations participating in the 14-month musical celebration include Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, which has produced limited edition Baseball Hall of Fame Fender Stratocaster guitars, Peanuts Worldwide and Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates, which has created 75 limited edition Baseball Hall of Fame Peanuts Posters, as well as Charitybuzz, which will host the silent auction. The live event will also celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Little League Baseball, as well as other iconic baseball organizations including American Legion Baseball and Minor League Baseball.
