Crossroads: Labor Pains of a New Worldview Wins American INSIGHT's 2013 Free Speech Award
Award presented to filmmaker Joseph Ohayon at the 2nd annual Free Speech Awards Ceremony in Philadelphia
NEW YORK, June 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Joseph Ohayon, filmmaker, writer and speaker based in Israel and New York, has won
this year's American INSIGHT's Free Speech Award for his documentary "Crossroads: Labor
Pains of a New Worldview." The award was presented to Ohayon at the second annual Free
Speech Awards Ceremony, at the Union League in Philadelphia earlier this month.
Crossroads: Labor Pains of a New Worldview is a documentary exploring the depths of
the current human condition and the emergence of a worldview that is recreating our world
from the inside out. Ohayon, who hopes his film will inspire change, is best known for his
relentless quest to put pieces together and look at the big picture.
Crossroads weaves together insights and findings from biology, psychology, network
science, systems science, business, culture and media, revealing the inner workings of the
human experience in the 21st century with insights from scientists and thinkers such as
Amit Goswami, Neale Donald Walsch, Elisabet Sahtouris, Bruce Lipton, Peter Joseph,
Caroline Miller, Nicholas Christakis, James Fowler, Michael Laitman, Ervin Laszlo, Dean
Radin, John St. Augustine and more - all urging viewers to step out of the box and
challenge their own assumptions about who we really are, and why we do what we do.
Commenting on this year's winning documentary, Margaret Chew Barringer, Free Speech
Film Festival Founder, stated at the award ceremony, "Who are we? Who do we really choose
to be? This year's American INSIGHT 2013 Free Speech Award winning film, Crossroads,
delves deeply into these tough questions."
Joseph Ohayon believes "free speech today has everything to do with questioning the
foundations of our current culture and society. Anything less than that today isn't really
considered free speech, in my view." Ohayon added that "Band-Aid solutions will no longer
work to meet the challenges we face today. A fundamental change of values, an integrated
way of thinking, is critically needed and is looming across the board. That, I believe, is
the crossroads of our time."
Joseph Ohayon directs, writes, and hosts documentaries and talk shows, and also
lectures on the need to adapt to an increasingly interdependent world.
