50 Trailblazers Under 50 - A Future Made in Africa! Salim Amin

The New African Magazine has set apart 50 individuals under the age of 50 who they
believe are breaking ground, making Africa proud and propelling the Continent into a
future of great hope.
A24 Media's Salim Amin, son of the world-renowned Kenyan photojournalist Mo Amin,
graces this auspicious list. Salim, who managed to maintain and grow his father's media
business since his passing, has elevated Camerapix to an image bank of over four million
pictures, and over 8,000 hours of video footage. Camerapix has archived some of Africa's
most historic and visually stunning moments.
With his new company A24 MEDIA, Salim has carved out a niche as the premiere Pan
African Production Company on the continent. In addition to producing the weekly features
magazine program, AFRICA JOURNAL in conjunction with the Reuters news agency, he has
recently produced a series of documentaries for CCTV Africa's Faces of Africa programme,
providing a unique look at Africa's most inspiring characters.
