U-verse Customers Get New, Convenient Features to Search and Discover Movies and TV Shows
DALLAS, May 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The number of movies and TV shows available to watch is growing rapidly. To help you find what you're looking for AT&T* is launching a new, media-rich U-verse(®) On Demand storefront, designed to provide a more intuitive and convenient way to discover your favorite movies and TV shows.
The new U-verse On Demand storefront features:
-- A sleek new user interface with intuitive navigation.
-- Colorful poster art to find what you want faster.
-- New advanced search tools, allowing you to search for titles by cast,
read bios and more.
-- My Videos, which lets you keep track of your current rentals in one
place.
-- My Queue, so you can search for titles once and save in a list to watch
later.
-- My Offers, which lets you easily access coupons for discounts and free
offers.
More enhancements are already planned, including an advanced recommendation engine to help customers find the content they want to watch. You can view a video demo of the On Demand storefront here.

Prior to launch, the new U-verse On Demand storefront was tested with customers in several markets and by AT&T's Usability & Design team in their Austin lab. The team tests new features and functionality with consumers and incorporates their feedback or suggestions before the feature is widely launched. Lab tests showed that the new storefront received high scores in ease of use, search effectiveness and overall customer satisfaction. Trials of the storefront in Austin and San Antonio also yielded increased On Demand usage
The storefront is available today in Austin, Bakersfield, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Charleston, Charlotte, Cleveland, Columbia, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Dayton, Daytona Beach, Decatur, El Paso, Fayetteville, Fresno, Grand Rapids, Greensboro, Greenville, Houston, Jackson, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Knoxville, Lansing, Los Angeles, Louisville, Lubbock, Memphis, Miami, Midland, Milwaukee, Mobile, Monterey, Nashville, Reno, San Antonio, San Diego, South Bend, Springfield, St. Louis, Topeka, Tulsa and Wallingford, and will be launching in more markets on an ongoing basis throughout the year.
