Ram Truck Off-road Experience Gets Down at Detroit's Downtown Hoedown

DETROIT, May 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The best viewing area at Detroit's largest country music festival, the Downtown Hoedown, is reserved for those who first experience the power, capabilities and performance of the award-winning Ram trucks at the Ram Off-road Experience. Trucks are available for test drives during all three days of the festival, May 31- June 2, making Ram's off-road test track one of the many attractions for concert goers at the 31st WYCD Downtown Hoedown.

The Downtown Hoedown is a three-day festival of country music on the grounds of Comerica Park featuring entertainment by more than 40 artists on three stages, including headliners Uncle Kracker, Jake Owen and Joe Nichols.

Participants in the Ram Off-road Experience will be given rides with a performance driver through an obstacle course that demonstrates the truck's capabilities including: 30 degree wedge to demonstrate traction, rocks and logs to demonstrate articulation and stability, bumps to demonstrate suspension and a Ram Mountain to demonstrate the ground clearance, approach and departure angles.

There is no additional fee for Hoedown attendees to enjoy the experience. Upon completion of their test drive,participants will receive a Ram t-shirt that gives them exclusive access to one of the Hoedown's best viewing areas.

The Ram Off-road Experience can be found on the Comerica Park grounds and will be open during the following dates and times:

Friday, May 31 5:00pm - sundown
Saturday, June 1 2:00pm - sundown
Sunday, June 2 2:00pm - sundown
