"Art Everywhere Initiative" Also Gives Viewers a Chance to Feature Their Artwork on Ovation

SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Ovation, America's only arts network, maintains brisk momentum following its recent announcement of over 230 hours of new original programming - representing a 400%+ increase in original programming. Both social promotions will be launched during Ovation's sneak peek episode of Culture Pop (Friday, May 31, 8:00 p.m. ET), the network's new arts and culture weekly news show. The "Name Our Segment" promotion will give viewers the chance to name a currently untitled Culture Pop segment on "can't miss" arts and cultural experiences and happenings. Host, Adam Havener, kicks off the promotion with an invitation to viewers to visit Facebook.com/CulturePopTV to submit their best segment title ideas.

"Our viewers and fans produce some of the best creative out there," said Robert Weiss, Ovation's Chief Creative Officer. "So it's fitting for Ovation to invite our 400,000+ followers - and the nation - to submit their best segment names for a chance to put their creative stamp on Culture Pop."

Ovation will also launch its "Art Everywhere Initiative" during the Culture Pop sneak peek. This promotion invites Ovation's viewers and fans to submit their best works of art for the opportunity to be featured on a future episode of Culture Pop, as well as the chance for their work to be featured in part of Ovation's brand creative. Artists are encouraged to visit Facebook.com/OvationTV and upload their best work to the "Art Everywhere" tab.

"Infusing our viewers' creativity into our original series and brand is one of the best ways to make Ovation a true platform for creative expression," Weiss noted. "It's one of the many ways 'Art Everywhere' will manifest itself over the coming months."

The winners of both promotions will be revealed during the official series premiere episode of Culture Pop, airing Friday, June 28 at 8 p.m. ET.
